Wow! Four days ago I came across a short story, " The Old Ranger" and I found a new Western Author to follow. Now four days later I have finished "Logan's Word and Savage Valley". If you enjoy good Westerns you will enjoy the writing of Mr Robertson. His descriptions of the country show its beauty and danger and his details used in describing an Indian ceremony just fascinated and captivated me. Mr Robertson's writing is concise in his descriptions and yet always keeps the story moving. He even throws in a twist to throw your anticipation off and you just have to smile because you have been caught getting ahead of his story telling. As I reviewed "Logan's Word", I mentioned I have been reading Westerns for 55 years. With Mr Robertson I have found a new author which I hope to follow for years to come. You will not be disappointed if you purchase his books, they start right away with a trot and make you hang on as you flip the pages. I am going to next start his other series, "Law and Justice" . I believe I am going to have a lot of company reading these new series. Mr Robertson hooked me, why not try one and see if you can get hooked also.Product details

Great, clean, western series. Full of action and excitement. I have loved western books since I was a little girl. Was even married to a cowboy from Montana for awhile.
Fun read. Likeable characters. I love that the setting is actually enjoyable and beautiful instead of the typical hot, dry, dusty, miserable settings of so many books of this genre. I love books set in mountains rather than deserts-though deserts are beautiful and do have their place.
This series just keeps getting better. Logan's Word was a wonderfully entertaining read. I enjoyed Savage Valley even more....probably because Logan's Word introduced and developed the characters in such a way that reuniting with them again in Savage Valley was such a treat. I had a tough time putting the book down and am sad now that it is over. That is my barometer for a five star book! Good job Don Robertson!
I really enjoyed The Savage Valley and Logan's Word and look forward to more on the Logan Family adventures. Donald L. Robertson weaves a great story that is hard to put down. I can assure you I will be looking forward to more books from this Author.ppl
The story was good kept your attention the details given or believable except for a couple of the chest shootings I'm a shooter and I understand that but it was still a good story catch your interest made you want to read more an exciting story to read but no bad language no sex scenes just good old-fashioned reading in the in the best style
DLR has penned the 2nd in the Logan family series. Calling and party arrive in the land their Uncle purchased only to be ambushed by Outlaws who were after gold. After Callum recovers they build the ranch to have the place ready for his brother and family coming from Texas. There are gunfights, stolen gold, banks robbed and chased across the Rocky Mountains. He his is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
The Savage Valley continues the adventures of Callum Logan, his brother Josh, and Uncle Floyd as they make peace with the local Shoshone while making war on the local Wister gang. The tale is reminiscent of L’Amour’s Sackett series, but sets its own course of action, with plenty of it. The principle characters are well-defined as to morals, conviction, and grit. Women, in the customs of the period, are treated with deference and respect. A great story, well told.
